What is the conveyancing process?  Well, you cannot buy or sell a home without conveyancing.  It is the legal process to transfer property ownership titles from one person to another. The term refers to all the legal and administrative work to transfer  ownership from one person to another.

The conveyancing process begins after you have had an offer accepted on a property. This is the point when a property is described as “Sold subject to Contract”.

The process ends once the final contracts have been signed, the money has been transferred to complete the purchase and the transfer registered with the Land Registry.

There are a number of steps in conveyancing, see What are the Key Steps in Conveyancing.
